Yutong Wang(b.2005) is a Chinese artist living and working in Beijing.

Currently graduating from BA Fine Art Photography(2023-2026) at Camberwell College of Arts, University of the Arts London

She works across image, text, and installation, exploring the relationship between the individual and contemporary society, as well as the issues embedded within it.

Rather than simply revealing social realities, Wang is more concerned with how art can participate in the contemporary moment and the language it can use to reach its audience, making the often imperceptible causal relationships between personal experience and the social environment visible and sensible once again. Her methods and media therefore shift continually in response to her understanding of contemporary structures of perception. Previously, she focused more on revealing the relationship between the individual and society from a macro perspective, using a highly theoretical, knowledge-based approach to art reproduction; she is now more interested in how these relationships can be revealed and perceived at the micro level, where life took place, through embodied experience afforded by the materiality of the artwork.
